OUR TEAM

At The Holistic Centre for Neurodiversity, our team brings together a rich blend of lived experience, professional training, and a deep commitment to trauma-informed, neuroaffirming practice.

Each practitioner brings a unique perspective—but we’re united by a shared mission: to support neurodivergent individuals with authenticity, compassion, and evidence-informed care.

Our Team at Work

Sarah Maniscalco

Founder | CEO | Educator | Principal

Vision and Model

Sarah is the founder and architect behind The Holistic Centre for Neurodiversity and the creator of a pioneering therapeutic model grounded in advocacy, self understanding, and acceptance rather than conformity or masking. The centre’s holistic approach reflects a commitment to seeing each person as a whole, honouring their strengths, lived experience, and need for safety, trust, and self directed growth. Her model integrates trauma informed and neuroaffirming principles within a disability informed, rights based framework, offering an alternative to compliance driven and behaviourist approaches by creating spaces where individuals feel supported, empowered, and able to thrive.

Foundational Leadership

As Director and Principal, Sarah leads the clinical, strategic, and philosophical direction of the centre through a methodology shaped by interdisciplinary research, grounded professional practice, and her lived experience as a neurodivergent woman. Her leadership prioritises people’s needs, advocacy, and safety, protecting both clients and the therapeutic space while creating conditions of trust where strengths can emerge and individuals can thrive. This work is anchored in the everyday realities of the clients the centre supports, ensuring practice remains inclusive, responsive, and authentic.

Professional Background

With more than two decades of experience across education, disability support, and therapeutic practice, Sarah brings a rare depth of insight into child development, inclusive education, and systems-level thinking. Her work bridges theory and application, drawing on frameworks that are developmentally attuned, neuroaffirming, and grounded in the lived experience of neurodivergent people. In addition to her formal qualifications, Sarah has undertaken further study across fields in community and welfare services, counselling, and therapeutic frameworks. This ongoing professional learning continues to inform her interdisciplinary approach and strengthens the foundation of her developmentally attuned, neuroaffirming practice.

An accredited primary teacher, Sarah has led inclusive education for over 20 years, designing innovative, developmentally responsive programs and mentoring educators to meet diverse learner needs. Her leadership spans curriculum design, community-driven initiatives, and successful business ownership. Known for combining strategic clarity with strong relational insight, she also speaks across education and disability sectors on inclusive practice, neuroaffirming support, and systems change.

Sector Impact

Sarah's work is not just hands-on, it’s foundational. Through original program design, advocacy, and sector consultation, Sarah is reshaping how neurodivergent clients are supported, understood, and empowered.
