OUR TEAM

At The Holistic Centre for Neurodiversity, our team brings together a rich blend of lived experience, professional training, and a deep commitment to trauma-informed, neuroaffirming practice.

Each practitioner brings a unique perspective—but we’re united by a shared mission: to support neurodivergent individuals with authenticity, compassion, and evidence-informed care.

Our Team at Work

Sarah Maniscalco

Founder | CEO | Educator | Principal

Vision and Model

Sarah is the founder and architect behind The Holistic Centre for Neurodiversity—and the creator of a pioneering therapeutic model that redefines how support for neurodivergent children is delivered: developmentally respectful, identity-affirming, and grounded in real-world function. Her model integrates trauma-informed, neuroaffirming principles with a disability-informed, rights-based foundation - offering an alternative to compliance-based and behaviourist frameworks.

Foundational Leadership

As Director and Principal, Sarah leads the clinical, strategic, and philosophical direction of the centre—applying a methodology she developed through interdisciplinary research, grounded practice, and her own lived experience as a neurodivergent woman. Her work is deeply informed by the day-to-day realities, challenges, and strengths of the children and families she supports.

Professional Background

With more than two decades of experience across education, disability support, and therapeutic practice, Sarah brings a rare depth of insight into child development, inclusive education, and systems-level thinking. Her work bridges theory and application—drawing on frameworks that are developmentally attuned, neuroaffirming, and grounded in the lived experience of neurodivergent people. In addition to her formal qualifications, Sarah has undertaken further study across fields such as community and welfare services, counselling, and therapeutic frameworks. This ongoing professional learning continues to inform her interdisciplinary approach and strengthens the foundation of her developmentally attuned, neuroaffirming practice.

An accredited primary teacher, Sarah has led inclusive education for over 20 years—designing innovative, developmentally responsive programs and mentoring educators to meet diverse learner needs. Her leadership spans curriculum design, community-driven initiatives, and successful business ownership. Known for combining strategic clarity with strong relational insight, she also speaks across education and disability sectors on inclusive practice, neuroaffirming support, and systems change.

Sector Impact

Her work is not just hands-on—it’s foundational. Through original program design, advocacy, and sector consultation, Sarah is reshaping how neurodivergent children are supported, understood, and empowered.
